Tadao

Design Vico Magistretti, 1993

A simple intelligent idea: expose the slats of the bed that are usually hidden away. Function becomes a primary element of the design.

A bed of Oriental inspiration, elegant and clean-cut. The mattress support consists of strong slats that continue upwards to form the headboard.
Tadao is available in coffee-brown oak or natural and coffee-stained iroko finishes and in the scratch-resistant surface finishe Epoque (white and grey colours).
  • In a sophisticated-looking room, a Tadao single bed in dark walnut riverwood stands out, paired with a comforter cover in geometric shapes and neutral tones. The sheet and pillow cover match the color of the Moon ottoman in Nabuk N86 upholstery. The room is illuminated by an essential-looking floor lamp.
Detail of the headboard of the single Tadao bed, composed of three iroko wood slats with marked grain, joined by thin blue bands. The minimalist design dialogues with the Foglio bedside table in black metal T012 with curved shapes. Natural light enhances the warm shades of the wood and the softness of the sand-colored comforter cover.
Detail of the base of the Tadao single bed, composed of wide natural iroko slats. Blue bands connecting the wooden elements add graphic rhythm and a contemporary touch. The neutral-colored comforter cover falls precisely over the surface, while the blue plaid introduces a note of freshness to the woven rug.
