Gaudí

Design Matteo Nunziati, 2023

A dining table inspired by the centrality of wood, a distinctive feature of all the Gaudí collection items.

Rectangular dining table with curved solid wood legs (in natural, coffee-stained and black-stained ash finishes) supporting a smoked or bronzed glass top framed in an elegant and thin matt burnished metal frame. The possibility to opt for a wooden top, in the same finish as the legs, makes the Gaudí table suitable for any living context and style.
In an environment flooded with natural light, the Gaudi table stands out with its Ash Tinto Caffè N076 frame and bronzed glass top. Its soft lines dialogue with Tekton chairs in Frassino Tinto Caffè N076 finish and brown Noah 0912 upholstery, creating an elegant and relaxed atmosphere that opens onto the green landscape, visible through large windows.
Wood, glass and metal: a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional materials.
In the Gaudí dining table, curved solid wood is the supporting element for the bronzed glass top and its burnished metal frame.
In a bright, modern dining room, the Gaudi table stands out with its Coffee-stained ash frame. The soft shapes and rounded edges convey balance and continuity. Around it, four Tekton chairs by Natevo with Coffee oak legs and upholstered seats in slate-colored BRIDGE 0834 fabric create an understated and coherent composition. A transparent vase with flowering branches decorates the table, while in the background a black cupboard built into the wall displays books and floral prints. The all-white room feels enveloping and quiet, in harmony with the greenery visible from the side windows.
A close-up detail of the Gaudí table highlights the finish of Coffee-stained ash: the grain is clearly visible, carefully sanded to reflect light in a subtle way. The curved edge of the frame appears solid yet fluid, while the top houses a mirrored tray with two colored goblets. Next to it, the back of a Tekton chair, upholstered in slate-colored BRIDGE 0834 fabric, introduces a soft texture that contrasts with the compactness of the wood. The composition expresses the search for balance between glossy and textured surfaces.
A macro shot highlights the corner of the Gaudí table, where the Coffee-stained ash legs elegantly connect to the top surface. The sanding of the wood reveals the quality of the craftsmanship, with a visual continuity that embraces every joint. The contrast between the dark wood and the white floor reinforces the physical presence of the object in the space.
In this refined dining area, the Gaudí table - with a solid wood top in the same finish as the legs - is flanked by Tekton shell armchairs, which echo the cosy shapes and colour palette of the living room.
In a wider view of the living area, the Gaudi table fits naturally between the dining area and conversation corner. Tekton chairs, madame buttefly armchairs, and pierre side tables create continuity between functions, unifying the space through consistency in materials: coffee-stained ash, fabrics in shades of pearl gray, and matte surfaces. It is an understated but warm interior, where each element finds its place.
The interior space blends with the outdoors: on one side, the dining area with Tekton chairs and sculptural suspension; on the other, the garden that can be glimpsed, rich in greenery and light. Materials dialogue with each other: ash, slate-colored BRIDGE 0834 fabric and light chase each other, generating an open and vital atmosphere.
The focus is on the point of contact between the top and the wooden frame of the Gaudi table. The joint is sharp but elegant, with a millimeter precision that reveals design quality. The overall effect is that of a sophisticated object, capable of fitting into different environments without losing identity. A technical detail that is transformed into an aesthetic language.
